Generating Art from Code

from FreeCodeCamp.org

Lately I’ve been struggling to focus on where to focus my creativity outside of work and the day-to-day tasks. While I’m interested in photography, drawing, digital drawing, DIY, and many other things, I’ve always had a passion to combine art and code. Coming out of high school I wanted to work for Disney or a related company but simply didn’t pursue it since there wasn’t much out there at the time and especially close to home.

With that in mind, I’ve been doing some research lately and watched a few YouTube videos highlighting what others have done using code and algorithms to create art. There appears to be a decent amount of creative work in this space from people like Casey Reas and coding frameworks like Processing. I’ve recently learned a bit of python so this is right up my alley.

I plan to post my experiments and results to this blog, so feel free to follow along with me.
